MotionElements (ME) launches Apple Motion templates as the latest addition to its growing library of microstock elements. Known for having Asia-inspired stock animation, video footage, 3D models and After Effects templates, the new channel addresses the growing market for video templates and the recent increase in the Final Cut Pro and Motion user base.

The demand for high quality video productions has grown throughout the years with increasing resources invested that film makers simply do not have the leisure of having. MotionElements established its online marketplace in 2008 to address this demand by providing a marketplace for premium quality stock animation, video footage, and 3D models. Operating under a royalty-free business model, its products provided film makers with video elements that normally would have cost more time and resources to make on their own. The market has changed yet again with continually growing expectations from motion graphics elements in video productions. To address this need, MotionElements has entered the video templates market in 2012 by offering an After Effects (AE) templates channel.

According to Mark Sun, Co-Founder of ME, “The appeal of video templates anchors itself for being visually impressive yet highly customizable. Users of video templates simply load up the supported editing application and begin customizing certain aspects such as text, images, video, color, and timing depending on the design and options made available by the template author. This results in professionally well-made motion graphics sequences that can be used in a variety of cases such as logo reveals, kinetic typography, and photo slideshows.”

ME and its template artists have since enjoyed success in marketing the After Effects templates available in its channel. Building from this success, ME is adding Apple Motion templates to its video template offerings.

Apple originally launched Motion in 2004 and later bundled the application together with its professional video editing software, Final Cut Pro (FCP). The latest version, Motion 5 has since become a standalone application and is available in the Mac App Store for $49.99 and is exclusive to the Mac platform. While it lacks the depth of After Effects, Mac users have found the Motion 5 interface and workflow easier to grasp. The application also works seamlessly with Final Cut Pro X, which is also available exclusively on the Mac App Store for $299.99.

ME Co-Founder Joanne Chua has great expectations for the channel and states, “We believe that the lower barrier of entry and its native support for Apple’s similarly competitively priced professional video editing software, Final Cut Pro X (FCPX), provides for a promising audience to sell readily made video templates. Also consider the combined cost of owning both applications is lower than Adobe’s similar offerings provide for a valid expectation that the Motion and FCPX user base will continue to grow.”

Apple Motion templates is available now in the MotionElements online marketplace through the Apple Motion channel. Users can browse through popular categories such as Business & Presentations, Logo Reveals & Animation, Photo Slideshows, Weddings, and more to find the right template for a particular purpose. Buyers will enjoy a great selection of motion templates made available at reasonable prices, starting from $8, by their authors on a royalty-free license. This means that purchased templates can be used in any number of projects that a buyer works on for perpetuity.

MotionElements is optimistic that the channel will continue to grow organically as more users and authors create Motion and Final Cut Pro video productions.
